As our facilities reopen, we are employing new safety measures to protect you and our caregivers including universal mask use, temperature testing, social distancing, employee COVID-19 testing, visitor restrictions and keeping our COVID-19 symptomatic patients separated from other patients. Nothing is more important to us than you.

Patient Safety Is Our Priority

AdventHealth Daytona Beach, AdventHealth DeLand, AdventHealth Fish Memorial, AdventHealth Palm Coast, and AdventHealth Waterman have been nationally recognized by The Leapfrog Group as elite hospitals of patient safety and quality care.

The “A” rating is the highest score available and represents a hospital’s overall performance in keeping patients safe from preventable harm and medical errors.

At AdventHealth, patient safety is the number one priority our team is continuously working to improve patient safety. Some of the steps we take every day to protect our patients include:

  • Communicating with patients about their medications and discharge instructions
  • Ensuring patients receive the right medications in the right dose at the right time
  • Training our staff and leadership to listen and work collaboratively to reduce errors

These actions as well as others have resulted in lower infection rates, fewer patient falls, and decreased surgical errors. The “A” grade from The LeapFrog Group acknowledges our efforts. To learn more about our scores and to see how we compare to other hospitals, click here.
